ultraman is back!

hye all....

IMAGINE

cars crashing!

ultraman with his famous hand gesture !

AGAINST

a boy named DARWISH!

i received this order for a birthday cake. this order is from amir for his nephew. he wanted ultraman figurine and then wanted to change his mind for a figurine representing his nephew.
alas.... seeing this as a chance for me to practice figurine making (selfish me :D ) i suggested 2 figurines of ultraman VS darwish the nephew. luckily amir quickly agrees to moui... hahahaha... thank you amew... kekekkeke

so there i was, baking an 8 inch white cake with chocolate cake (as the buildings) and frosted everything with buttercream. got this great nozzle for the grass. ooohhh.... and because kuching weather was all rain during the past few days, i didnt make the cars from gumpaste. instead i used those chocolate cars....

so, this is the end product folks. hope you liked it :D

till next cake :D

birds and the bees :D

couple in love *sigh* :D

oopppsss... my messy kitchen

birds and the bees

ok2, as in my last post, i mentioned having mood swings and cake decorating cured it... welll.... i present to you my latest work.. mama so proud of dis cake :)

this cake is an 8 inch white cake with choc fudge frosting in the middle. dirty iced with buttercream before covering with fondant icing.
cake was decorated with grassess, daisies, ladybugs, bees and snails. its a garden theme. and of course the two couple snuggling together... aaahhhh... beautiful :D
this cake was supposed to have a bicycle as i want to follow their pre-wedding pic but i cant think of any way to make a bicycle out of gumpaste in our malaysia humid weather. Also, aunty bibi had helped me purchase the smallest bicycle she can find but its still too large for this cake.
ah welll... maybe next cake.
as the bride is busy n hectic with her say, i didnt get to ask her opinion on this cake. i just saw her smiling at it. hope she like it. anyway, CONGRATS ITY & RYZY on their wedding. may love carry them through this rough sea of marriage (chewah! hahahhaha)

the birds and the bees

hye u all.... am soo excited that i cant hardly wait to post this time of the nite.
today starts of as a lousy day. woke up feeling emotionally drained + depress... yup, mood swing is swinging real hard... at the office, not much work dat can be done plus been chasing few people for ages. i hate when ppl dont work efficiently *groan*

anyway, i was totally not in the mood for baking and cake decorating tonite. but i must stick to my schedule as the cake n cuppies must be delivered tomorrow evening. so the cuppies have to be baked tonite and cake 80% ready by tonite.

so there i was, mixing, baking, cleaning while waiting for my cuppies to bake. it turned out PERFECT! no dome! (as i need flat surface. order was for fondant icing). happy me.

then i turned to cake decorating and as i was coloring the fondant and watching Karam Singh reporting on Cameron highland's poaching, my unbelivable mood swing come hitting again. this time i reminisce how things shud have been different (astaghfirullah... manusia mmg tak pandai nk bersyukur).

so there i was, cutting and shaping the cake and suddenly, the cake turned out PERFECT. oh boy, i was smiling. the finished product was great if i may say so. eventhough i cant put a bicycle as intended but the whole cake turned out like said, GREAT :))

i wont be showing off the pics just yet as blogger cant upload the pics... anyway, will upload in the next post. PINKY PROMISE :)

GAWAI festivities

Last 1st June was GAWAI festivities here in Sarawak.
its being celebrated by the local natives such as the Ibans and the Bidayuhs.
As usual, when it comes to festivities, my mum will be giving cakes, cookies, tidbits to her friends or family celebrating. This year, its REMPEYEK. Nice and full of spices cracker with peanuts and anchovies. Plus, mum decided to give a friend of hers a set of GAWAI cuppies!
Since her friend is celebrating in Sibu, we decided on fondant icing so it can last the long drive journey from Kuching to Sibu. Lets take a peek of the cuppies :)
