experiments!

hey all......

i miss LAB... yes ppl... lab as in L.A.B.O.R.A.T.O.R.Y. you see, im a science student and basically i love science. especially life science. talking about life science, it is again divided into many fields. did you know dat? and each field is divided into another sub-field, and the sub-fields have its own sub-sub-fields. how complicated can it be? SUBHANALLAH, ciptaan ALLAH. :D

Being a scientist for over 4 years (after my degree, i became RA and research MSc student a.k.a free labor) give me so much joy. yess, its not easy. it can be mentally depriving and physically exhausting but the result is so satisfying. I'm so glad my ex-supervisor was a very very very good mentor + teacher.

anyway, as i was saying, I MISS MY LAB :(

working in the management field is not the same as being the 'crazy einstein' in the lab.

therefore, i decided to merge my passion and interest :D

IVE DECIDED TO HOLD CAKE EXPERIMENTS ... yyaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wad do i mean by cake experiment?

ill be experimenting with different cake flavors, different baking technique, different ingredients, different decorating techniques and moreeeeeeeeeeeeeee......

how do i analyze the experiments?

there will be the ease of baking (of coz), the price of ingredients, the costing, and definitely the appearance and the taste

how do you rate the taste?

i will be conducting sensory tasting! which is good news to whoever volunteered to be my lab rats. they will taste and comment. and the idea of them consuming the cake in the future

im gonna have so much fun. there will be lots of research to be done to understand the history of the cake so that we can bond with our creation. HAHHAHAHHAHAH

This cake was for my sister's fren. they had been good frens since kindy, middle school, high school and now goin to uni. Ziqah got JPA's offer to study fulltime in INDIA in dentistry. so looks like in 10 years i know which dentist to visit :D

Anyway, it was choc cake with buttercream icing. The usual stuff. Deco was INDIAN inspired. Its actually a farewell gift from me to her. Lets looks at the photos :D

i know its been a while. im not gonna whine how busy ive been or how bad the internet connection here ... BOOOOOO.....

anywya, i just thot ill upload some previous cupcake done by yours sincerely today.

Its a chelsea themed cupcake with a figurine. Its for a birthday boy with a cool name.

I love how the cake turned out and i especially love how the green and blue looked in the picture.

the order was made a week earlier from the birthday boy's birthday. just because ill be away during his birthday. the mummy was so happy to receive this cake that tthey decided to celebrate ryan's birthday a week earllierr.... awww... mummy, u make me happy. Thanks for the support and thank you nina for blabbing bout my cupcake biz.

FOOTBAL FEVERRRRRRRRRRRRR

true to the spirit of football.... i decided to make this cupcake order with the theme WORLD CUP!

this cake was ordered thru izah.... thanx izah for promoting :)

anyway, to get the cake done, i had to do a bit of researching. there were football jerseys (which fascinate me more than the players :D ) and of coz the many famous players...

the jerseys were done with much love and it took me a whole day to finish them! there were only 11 jerseys to begin with! i guess, the name creating was VERY TIDIOUS *ouch my back*

unfortunately for me, after the cake was picked up and pics were posted on my FB, some dear frens commented that several players on my cake are not playing. ADUH! malunya. example of retired/rested players are totti and ballack.... ish ish... the webpage isnt realiable *sigh*

anyway, eventhough there we mistakes in the team players but the true spirit of worls cup and football is still there. and i do enjoyed the joyous smiles and laughter from my customer
